prey for a prayer.

Their sound is absolute adrenaline. With heavy guitars, and aggressive vocals over pounding beats; GENUFLECT is raw, powerful delivery.
The word Genuflect literally means "To bow or kneel before God." The lyrical focus lashes out against those who commit violence in the name of any and all religions. The message is clear cut…The end is near; it’s evolution or extinction.
Poised to take the hard rock masses by storm, Genuflect has just completed their first national tour across the United States to promote their debut album, The End of the World. The disc features 13 original songs and is available for purchase online and in Newbury Comics CD stores. The album is selling all across North America, South America, Australia, Africa, and throughout the European nations, as well as Asia, including a strong following in Japan. The bands underlying message is turning heads in both fans and critics alike, as the world begins to take notice.
“Genuflect is wired for political and social agitation. Song after song on the 13-track disc picks a target and unloads. The misleading politicking that set the stage for the war in Iraq, the sex scandals involving members of the clergy, the idea of terrorists killing in the name of God, and the social decay brought on by a culture overfed on celebrity news but starved of meaningful discussion are some of the topics raised on “The End of the World.” … a relentlessly hard-sounding album.” -The Worcester Telegram and Gazzette
“Genuflect’s self-released debut, “The End of the World,” is less rap and more metal than Reveille, but stays true to the hardcore sound that gave Reveille its edge. Street-smart songs such as “Potent” and “Kill Shot” delve into societal ills like crime and drugs with genuine passion and explosiveness. Could a rap-rock resurgence be upon us?” -The Boston Herald
The band is a new project by Drew Simollardes and Greg Sullivan, the vocalist and the guitarist from the band Reveille, who toured on Ozzfest with Pantera, Soulfly and Disturbed; and also toured nationally with Sevendust, Static-X, Godsmack, Powerman 5000, Kid Rock, and Machinehead. Genuflect also features Jeff Lawn, the drummer from the band 7th Rail Crew, who were legendary on the New England hardcore scene before being nominated three times for Boston Music Awards. Both bands used to perform together regularly and the merging and consequent birth of Genuflect has the masses buzzing throughout the underground music scene. Bass guitar is covered by Tim Dog, formerly of Asystoyle, based in Cambridge, MA.
Genuflect will soon be shooting a music video for their opening track, “Bloody Murder,” with influential video producer Ian Barrett (Godsmack, Sevendust, Real Rock TV.)
